Get MesaAlert running in your restaurant in under 15 minutes.

Create your account

Go to mesaalert.com and click 'Start free trial'. Fill in your restaurant name, email, and phone. No credit card needed.

Receive your credentials

Within 24 hours you'll receive your Tenant ID and 6-digit PIN by email. Keep them safe.

Log in to the dashboard

Go to mesaalert.com/login. Enter your Tenant ID then your 6-digit PIN.

Add your tables

In the dashboard go to Tables → click '+ Add table'. Enter the table number and waiter name.

Print and place QR codes

Go to QR Codes → Print all. Place one QR code on each table.

✅ Pro tipTest the system before opening — scan a QR code yourself and make sure the alert appears in the dashboard.

Account setup

Configure your restaurant profile and access credentials.

Go to Settings in the dashboard

Once logged in, click the ⚙️ Settings icon in the left sidebar.

Fill in your restaurant info

Enter your restaurant name, Tenant ID, and Worker URL from your welcome email.

Set inactivity reminder time

Choose how long before MesaAlert reminds you to close an open table. Minimum 30 minutes.

Save your settings

Click 'Save configuration'. Settings are stored locally and persist across sessions.

⚠️ ImportantYour PIN is set by the MesaAlert team when your account is created. Contact us to reset it.

Setting up tables

Add, edit, open, and close your restaurant tables from the dashboard.

How to add and manage tables

Click '+ Add table'

In the Tables section click the orange button at the top right.

Enter table number and waiter

Enter the table number and the assigned waiter's name.

Save — table opens automatically

Click 'Save and open table'. The table opens automatically and the QR is generated.

Close table when done

When done, click '✕ Close table'. This deactivates the QR so no more alerts come in.

💡 TipThe timer on each table card shows how long it's been open. Use it to track service times.
📱 QR Codes

QR Codes

Generate and print QR codes for each table so customers can call the waiter with a single tap.

Go to the QR Codes tab

Click QR Codes in the left sidebar. All tables appear with their QR codes.

Print all at once

Click '🖨️ Print all' to print everything at once, or print one at a time.

Place on each table

Cut and place each QR on its table. Laminating them makes them last longer.

ℹ️ NoteEach QR is unique. If you close and reopen a table, a new QR is generated — reprint it.

Alerts & notifications

Understand how alerts work and how to manage them.

Customer scans the QR

Customer scans the QR with their phone camera. Opens in the browser — no app needed.

Customer selects the request

They choose from 3 options: 🔔 Assistance, 💳 Check, or 🧹 Cleaning.

Alert appears instantly

Alert appears in the dashboard with sound. The table card changes color.

Mark as attended

Click '✓ Attend' on the alert or table card. The table returns to Occupied status.

Station Mode

A dedicated full-screen display for your kitchen or waiter station.

Open Station Mode

Go to mesaalert.com/station on the device for the station display.

Tap to go fullscreen

Tap the splash screen to enter fullscreen mode automatically.

View live tables and alerts

Left side shows active tables with timers. Right panel shows live alerts with sound.

Attend and close from Station

Staff can attend alerts and close tables directly from the Station display.

🪑 Waitlist

Waitlist

Manage waiting customers and notify them when their table is ready.

Add a customer to the waitlist

Go to the Waitlist page. Fill in name, party size, email, and optional phone.

Monitor wait times

The list shows position, party size, wait time. Turns red after 30 minutes.

Notify the customer

When ready, click '📧 Email' to notify automatically, or '📞 Call' to call them.

Mark as seated

Click '✓ Seat' when done. They move to seated and the next group moves up.

Yes. MesaAlert is 100% web-based. Works on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, or iPad. No installation required.
Do customers need to download an app?+
No. They scan the QR and it opens in the browser. No app download needed.
What if the internet goes down?+
MesaAlert requires internet for real-time alerts. We recommend a stable WiFi connection.
Can I use MesaAlert with my existing POS?+
Yes. MesaAlert works independently from any POS system. No integration needed.
How do I reset my PIN?+

Is my data secure?+
Yes. MesaAlert runs on Cloudflare with 99.99% uptime and SSL encryption on all connections.
